The Psychedelic association of Denmark and the Center for Psychedelic Awareness (Cepda) are happy to offer this TALK in collaboration with ICEERS (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service):
“Exploring the cultural, ethical, and practical dimensions of psychedelic and plant medicine use”
Join Jerónimo Mazarrasa (ICEERS, Spain) for an insightful event exploring both the cultural context and ethical responsibilities in the use of sacred plant medicines and psychedelics.
PART ONE:
How can one culture’s sacred medicines be another culture’s toxic drugs?
A discussion on ayahuasca and the challenges of respecting traditional practices while navigating modern societal and legal frameworks.

PART TWO:
Reducing harms and malpractice in the field of psychedelics: Ethics and codes of conduct
A practical session on harm reduction, ethical principles, and professional codes of conduct for facilitators, therapists, and organizers working with psychedelics.
ICEERS (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service) is a non-profit organization based in Spain, working globally to bridge indigenous knowledge and contemporary society. They focus on education, scientific research, and policy advocacy related to ethnobotanical practices such as ayahuasca, iboga, and other traditional plant medicines. ICEERS promotes harm reduction, human rights, and responsible integration of these practices, while supporting communities, practitioners, and policymakers in navigating the challenges and opportunities they present.
The event will be facilitated in English.

ICEERS (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service) er en non-profit organisation fra Spanien, der arbejder globalt med at bygge bro mellem oprindelig viden og moderne samfund.
