Workshop 27/9 at 12:30 – 15:30.

The Psychedelic association of Denmark and the Center for Psychedelic Awareness (Cepda) are happy to be able to offer this workshop:

“Increasing the safety of ceremonial plant work: A workshop on risk reduction for facilitators, assistants and organizers”:

How can we create safe and responsible framework around ceremonial work with plants such as ayahuasca, iboga, and other ethnobotanical traditions?

In this workshop, Jerónimo Mazarrasa from the international organization ICEERS (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service) shares his extensive experience in building bridges between indigenous traditions and modern societies.

The workshop offers tools to:
  • Identify and prevent risks in ceremonial contexts
  • Improve preparation, facilitation, and integration
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities of facilitators, assistants, and organizers
  • Apply ethical principles and harm reduction in practice

This session is especially relevant for facilitators, ceremonial assistants, and event organizers working with plant practices who want to strengthen both safety and quality in their work.
ICEERS (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service) is a non-profit organization based in Spain, working globally to bridge indigenous knowledge and contemporary society. They focus on education, scientific research, and policy advocacy related to ethnobotanical practices such as ayahuasca, iboga, and other traditional plant medicines. ICEERS promotes harm reduction, human rights, and responsible integration of these practices, while supporting communities, practitioners, and policymakers in navigating the challenges and opportunities they present.
The workshop will be facilitated in English.
